Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns offer a long-lasting solution to enhance existing teeth, replace broken teeth, or improve your smile's consistency. We offer both traditional porcelain crowns and CEREC for same-day crowns, allowing you to choose the service that works best for your needs.

A porcelain crown is a replacement for an existing tooth, whether you use the remains for the tooth or you need to fill a gap where a tooth has fallen out or decayed. Porcelain crowns can be matched to the rest of your smile, producing a beautiful and natural effect.

Typically, the process of installing a crown takes two sessions. In the initial session, we will take molds of your mouth, allowing for the creation of a custom crown. Once the mold is complete, it is sent off to a dental laboratory to be fabricated. On your second appointment, we will prepare your tooth or the area where your crown will sit. If a temporary crown is installed, we will remove it and replace it with your new, custom crown.

CEREC offers an alternative to the multi-day process if you need to have a crown installed quickly. If you choose CEREC, your new crown will be installed the same day, requiring no extra steps. Find out more about our CEREC cosmetic dentistry service here.

There is a range of reasons why you might need a porcelain crown, including:

  • Broken Or Fractured Teeth
  • Cosmetic Enhancement
  • Decayed Teeth
  • Fractured Fillings
  • Large Fillings
  • Tooth Has A Root Canal

Fixed Bridges

If you’d like to replace missing teeth and restore your smile to its fullest, a porcelain-fixed bridge may be the ideal option for you. As one of our cosmetic dentistry services, our team is highly trained in the molding and installation of bridges to bring back your beautiful smile for years to come.

Porcelain fixed bridges are a step up from crowns, allowing you to fill the space left by multiple teeth. Bridges work through anchoring on two teeth, creating a natural-looking finish while helping you to maintain your face shape. If you have trouble chewing or speaking, porcelain fixed bridges can help to restore your confidence permanently.

You'll need to attend Lige Dunaway D.D.S. two or more times to complete your fixed bridge process. In the first session, we will create a mold of the space, allowing for the accurate fabrication of your final bridge. We can also supply a temporary bridge if needed. Once we receive your new porcelain fixed bridge several weeks later, we will bring you in for installation and cementing. We will also advise on any care requirements and a cleaning plan to keep your new teeth looking beautiful.

There is a wide range of reasons why you may opt to get a fixed bridge. These include:

  • Fill the Space of Missing Teeth
  • Maintain Facial Shape
  • Prevent Remaining Teeth from Drifting out of Position
  • Restore Chewing and Speaking Ability
  • Restore Your Smile
  • Upgrade from a Removable Partial Denture to a Permanent Dental Appliance

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are the ideal option for individuals looking to even out and brighten their smile. As an effective and long-lasting technique, these durable dental restoration solutions can provide a long-lasting smile that looks incredible for years to come.

Porcelain veneers are not a replacement for teeth. Instead, they are a form of restoration that covers existing teeth to deliver a uniform, bright smile. Veneers cover your existing teeth with a thin piece of porcelain that is then bonded onto your teeth to create long-lasting results with no removal needed at the end of the day.

Typically, you’ll need to attend two appointments with Lige Dunaway D.D.S. to get your veneers made and then fitted. On the first visit, we will create a mold of your teeth, and you will choose the shade of veneer you prefer.

On your return visit, we will fit your new veneers with bonding cement after cleansing. A light is then used to harden this bond, ensuring your veneers have a long lifetime. Our team will also provide instruction and guidance on how to care for your new veneers.

You may choose to get porcelain veneers for a range of different reasons. These include

  • Cosmetics
  • Crooked Teeth
  • Misshapen Teeth
  • Severely Discolored or Stained Teeth
  • Teeth That Are Too Small or Large
  • Unwanted or Uneven Spaces
  • Worn or Chipped Teeth

Teeth Whitening

A picture-perfect smile is a top goal for many of our cosmetic dentistry patients. Teeth whitening is an excellent option to keep your smile fresh, bright, and stain-free. With regular whitening appointments, your teeth could stay in beautifully white condition year-round. Our highly trained dental team is up-to-date on the latest whitening technology at Lige Dunaway D.D.S.

Teeth whitening is a non-invasive dental process that changes the color of your natural tooth enamel. This results in a white, brighter smile with long-lasting results. While teeth whitening is not a permanent treatment, it can last for a long time with touch-ups now and then.

If you're considering teeth whitening, the first step is making an appointment with our specialist team. We'll create a mold for the custom trays that hold your whitening solution in our first session. On your second visit, we'll provide you with the fitted trays and a whitening solution to use at home. We'll also provide all the instructions and guidance you need to ensure your tooth whitening process is as straightforward as possible.

Why whiten your teeth? Here are a few of the reasons why you might use our cosmetic dentistry services:

  • Fluorosis (Excessive Fluoridation During Tooth Development)
  • Normal Wear of Outer Tooth Layer
  • Stained Teeth Due to Medications (Tetracycline, Etc.)
  • Yellow, Brown Stained Teeth
